MN: Milan star makes clear decision amid inquiries from Chelsea and Real Madrid

One of the most important AC Milan players, Gigio Donnarumma, only has one year left on his contract and many European clubs are already working to get in touch with his agent Mino Raiola.

As MilanNews.it reports, the Coronavirus outbreak has slowed down the renewal talks but as soon as there is a possibility, Milan will sit down with the agent. It will be a difficult negotiation, as the Rossoneri want to lower the current salary.

Should they fail to reach an agreement, then offers could be evaluated as the request is around €50m. The €6m that the goalkeeper earns per year have a significant impact on the budget, but a cut will hardly be accepted by his entourage.

However, it must be stressed that Donnarumma’s intention is to stay in Milan. Gigio is very close to the club and hopes to find a way to stay for the next few years. Certainly, renewing the contract would be a sign of Strenght for the Rossoneri.

In the meantime, Chelsea, PSG and Real Madrid have already made inquiries and continue to monitor the situation with great interest. It will be a busy summer for Gigio, as it’s the last useful transfer window for the club to monetize.
