AC Milan have made the decision not to field Simon Kjaer against Napoli from the first minute because of the hectic nature of the schedule, a report claims.
According to what is being reported by Sky Italia (via MilanNews), Kjaer seems destined to miss tonight’s match against Napoli. The Dane is not at an optimal physical condition and therefore there will be a chance for Matteo Gabbia, who will partner Fikayo Tomori.
Now, MilanNews have produced their own report on the situation, claiming that the choice not to field Simon Kjaer among the starting XI is purely conservative, in view of the numerous matches that await the Rossoneri.
However, there is great confidence in Matteo Gabbia, to step up as his replacement, and it must be noted that Pierre Kalulu is also available, but Alessio Romagnoli will miss the game having sustained a knock in the build-up to Thursday’s game at Old Trafford.
