AC Milan players have enjoyed their second training session under Paulo Fonseca’s guidance at Milanello, with defending appearing to be the primary focus.
As reported by Milan News, the second training session under the new Portuguese coach has been and gone, with the Rossoneri taking to the field at Milanello and continuing to learn the plans of Stefano Pioli’s replacement.
In the first session, he coach was tactically very involved from the beginning, often stopping the game in question to try and explain new ideas to the players.
The whole session lasted just over an hour and was perhaps a little more physically intense than some expected, meaning the players present were really put through their paces.
The hands-on approach was the same again on Tuesday and the double session saw the players take part in a warm-up, and then a series of technical and tactical exercises that were focused on the defensive phase of play.
Fonseca was very good at improving the defence of his Lille team last season and he is presumably trying to instil the same ideas into his new players.
Of course, he does not yet have his entire squad available with some at international tournaments around the globe.
Adli does need coaching when it comes to defending and protecting the ball.
Let’s sign Fofana now. 🙂
Keep Bennacer, we can’t replace him this year!
Best option is Ederson for 40M, but imagine these people spending that much?!
Ederson lmao you can’t be serious.
Intriguing to see how the midfield does with defending.and the transition to the backline. Fix that and we’re basically good to go.
We will buy no one this offseason but old stars past their prime or left over player who’s nobody wanted or free guy
Geez this management
you mean guys like Morata? As we have learned nothing from higuan and origi, yes 100% right but hard to understand whats going on there.
