MN: Milan will increase Pioli’s salary as three-year renewal is on the cards

Stefano Pioli has been very successful as the manager of AC Milan since he joined in October of 2019. It has been quite the journey and he will soon be rewarded with a new contract.

The Rossoneri are second in the league, with 32 points collected in 12 games, and Pioli certainly deserves a lot for this. There have been several injuries at the start of the season but that hasn’t bothered the team.

According to MilanNews, a new contract is in the pipeline for the manager, whose current contract will expire in 2022. Milan have the option to extend it for one more year, until June 2023, but talks are underway for an extension beyond that date.

The rumours that have emerged from the Milan HQ is a three-year renewal, which includes a pay rise. Pioli earns just €2m per year as per his current deal and it’s safe to say that he deserves to bump that up a bit.

With the renewal, the manager will be able to work in even more peace and build something for the future, knowing that he will be there as well.
