AC Milan and Franck Kessie want to continue together but the issue of his renewal must be resolved, ideally in the coming weeks.
According to MilanNews, the man nicknamed ‘The President’ has no intention of leaving Milan, despite some English clubs having been on his trail for some time. This was confirmed by the agent of the Ivorian – George Atangana – who told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Only a coup d’etat can send the President away from Milan.”
Kessie is considered a player of paramount importance both for the head coach and his staff, but also for the management and owners Elliott Management, so much so that the directors are working with his entourage to try and approach that €6m net per season requested.
The renewal of Kessie ‘is an absolutely priority issue’ for Milan as he has become crucial to Pioli with his physical strength, tackles, reading skills, ball retention, strength, goals and assists.
