MN: Milan to re-evaluate Bennacer injury when he returns – the details

Ismael Bennacer suffered his latest injury during international duty with Algeria, and initial reports suggest a lengthy time sidelined. However, the midfielder will be re-assessed when he returns to Italy by the AC Milan medical staff.

After a summer where Milan were planning to part with Bennacer, they have now been forced to do so, albeit for a different reason. Whilst the club were unsuccessful in finding a buyer for the midfielder, he will still be absent due to injury.

During a training session, the 26-year-old suffered a problem with his calf muscle, and there have been suggestions that he faces a 2-3 month period on the sidelines while he recovers. The reasoning for this is due to the belief that he has a grade three tear to the muscle.

With that being said, there is no accurate timeline at present, because he is still yet to be assessed by the Rossoneri, so it is possible this estimation could be wrong.

It is believed that the recovery time will be better understood soon, as Milan News reports that he is due to be re-evaluated when he returns to Italy. During his time sidelined, the Diavolo could look at using the Futuro talents, or look at the free agent market.

  1. And we didn’t sign Ricci as his sub… we really f-ed up in midfield, RLC is also useless and Fonseca don’t have the cohones to bench him… Liberalli is better than RLC and he’s 10 years younger…

    1. Sign Ricci to be Bennacer’s sub?
Ricci is a better player than Bennacer.
Ricci or any other midfielder that would have been signed, would have come in to take Bennacer’s spot in the squad, not be his sub.
Renato Sanches in the summer of 2022 was going to be signed to play ahead of Bennacer.
Fofana was signed to play ahead of Bennacer.
      What Bennacer sub?
