MN: Probable Milan XI for Napoli encounter – Kessie and Messias to start

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will face Napoli in the 28th round of Serie A on Sunday and it’s an important clash for both sides, with first place in the standings on the line. Stefano Pioli is expected to make some changes to the Rossoneri’s XI.

Following the mid-week draw against Inter which, despite missed chances, set them up well ahead of the second leg, Milan will be looking to get back to winning ways. In fact, their last three games have ended in draws.

Sandro Tonali is back from suspension and as reported by MilanNews, he will play from the first minute and Franck Kessie will move to the No.10 role. This means that Rade Krunic and Brahim Diaz will be on the bench. Pierre Kalulu will also start due to Alessio Romagnoli’s injury.

In addition to them, the likes of Davide Calabria and Junior Messias are expected to get the chance from start after getting some rest last time out. Four changes in total, therefore, from the last outing.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-1-3): Maignan; Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Bennacer, Tonali; Messias, Kessie, Leao; Giroud.

  1. Would prefer Saela. over Junior, yes Saela might turn the ball over more,(too much dribbling) , but at least he is pressing forward toward the objective, the GOAL, rather than cross passing wasting time while the defense gathers itself, we get the ball down quickly then waste time allowing the defense to get set.
