MN: Milan’s financial situation improves further – €50m losses expected for 2021-22

AC Milan’s financial situation continues to improve and the club are set to further cut their losses from the 2020-21 season, a report claims.

According to MilanNews, the accounts are constantly improving with the impact of the Scudetto win which cannot yet be calculated for the 2021-22 financial statements, because the impact is not immediate but rather has a knock-on effect on season ticket campaigns, merchandising and sponsors’ bonuses.

The report adds that the consolidated financial statements, as at 30 June 2022, should end up at around €-50m. These are indicative estimates, but the increase in revenues to €300m shows a constantly improving situation.

The aim is to approach or achieve budget parity over the next two seasons, while waiting for RedBird’s plans to come into action as they wish to continue the growth in revenues after the excellent work done by Elliott Management in reducing costs and making targeted investments on the transfer market.
