MN: Milan’s poor away record in 2023 highlighted in remarkable stat

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan lost on the road yet again yesterday as they were beaten 3-1 by Udinese at the Dacia Arena to continue a difficult March in the league.

Milan’s regression back to poor form in 2023 continued as they were beaten 3-1 by Udinese on Saturday night. Roberto Pereyra was the man who opened the scoring for the home side before Zlatan Ibrahimovic drew Milan level with a retaken penalty, but Beto put the hosts back in front before Kingsley Ehizibue sealed the win.

It continues a rather worrying trend of struggling in away games for Milan in 2023 as they lost in Udine, against Fiorentina, ‘away’ against Inter and also against Lazio.

With yesterday’s defeat at Udinese, MilanNews report that the Rossoneri have lost four of their last five away games played in Serie A, as many away defeats as those recorded in the previous 54 away games.

Last season away form was a real strength for Pioli’s side as they beat the likes of Napoli, Lazio and Inter, but this season it has been a struggle.
