MN: Milan’s probable XI for Cagliari clash – Ibrahimovic, Leao up front

By Isak Möller -

Following the disappointing 0-0 draw against Sampdoria in the last round, Stefano Pioli has seemingly decided to switch things up. In fact, AC Milan could use the 4-4-2 formation this afternoon against Cagliari.

The game last time out certainly highlighted the Rossoneri’s main issues and as a result of this, the manager feels that formation change will be for the good. Whether it’s a good or bad decision, it’s definitely an interesting one.

No changes will be made in defence as there are few alternatives for those positions. In midfield, on the other hand, the formation changes it will look different while Pioli has also decided to make a few changes.

Castillejo and Kessie will be brought in to replace Suso and Krunic. In attack, Ibrahimovic and Leao will look to continue their partnership as we saw last time out, though with a little bit more time on their hand today.

Probable AC Milan XI (4-4-2): Donnarumma; Calabria, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Castillejo, Kessié, Bennacer, Calhanoglu; Ibrahimovic, Leao (via MilanNews.it).
