MN: Milan’s probable XI for Genoa clash – Begovic in, Gabbia keeps his spot

By Isak Möller -

On Sunday afternoon, AC Milan will take on Genoa in the 26th round of Serie A, although behind closed doors. Due to the recent Coronavirus outbreak in Italy, only cameramen will be allowed inside the stadium.

The first rumours on the starting eleven arrived this evening, as MilanNews.it published an update on the situation. As Gigio Donnarumma is struggling with a minor injury, and Milan won’t risk him, Asmir Begovic will play from the first minute.

The Bosnian came on against Fiorentina last time out and was crucial in the dying minutes of the game. Hopefully, he can continue his good start on Sunday, looking to get his first clean sheet with the team.

In defence, Andrea Conti and Matteo Gabbia remain the favourites to start over Davide Calabria and Mateo Musacchio. Other than the change in goal, though, the starting eleven could be the same as against La Viola in the last round.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Begovic; Conti, Gabbia, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Kessie, Bennacer; Castillejo, Calhanoglu, Rebic; Ibrahimovic.
