MN: Milan’s probable XI for Juve clash – Diaz enters and creates a masked 4-4-2

By Isak Möller -

Milan will face Juventus at Allianz Stadium tomorrow and it seems Stefano Pioli will make some tweaks to the usual 4-2-3-1 formation. Instead of Ante Rebic or Rafael Leao on the wing, he will field Brahim Diaz.

The Spaniard, who’s on loan from Real Madrid, will play behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic and will stay close to the Swede throughout the game. As MilanNews describe it, it’s a 4-4-2 formation disguised as a 4-4-2.

This means that Hakan Calhanoglu will move to the left-wing, while Alexis Saelemaekers will be busy on the other end. In addition to Diaz coming in, there will be two more changes to the starting XI.

Davide Calabria and Simon Kjaer were on the bench against Benevento, having experienced flu symptoms the day before, but will start tomorrow evening. It’s a nice boost for Pioli as they are two important players for the team.

Probable Milan XI (4-3-2-1): Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Bennacer, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Diaz, Calhanoglu, Ibrahimovic.

  1. Pioli is not even good enough to be a PT teacher in a Milan school and her we appoint him as the head coach of AC milan. disgrace

  2. You write 4321, yet the players being preducted gives 4231…
Nevertheless, Milan has to win 3 out of 4 games…. the only logic comes they need pace in the middle, thats y Diaz… lets hope for the best
