MN: Milan’s probable XI to face Bodo/Glimt – Pioli battles injury crisis and a dilemma on the left

By Oliver Fisher -

After winning their first two games of the season, AC Milan will face a red hot Bodo/Glimt side looking to reach the Europa League Play-Off round.

Head coach Stefano Pioli will once again have a few selection issues to contend with, starting with the centre-back department where Alessio Romagnoli, Mateo Musacchio and Leo Duarte – who is in quarantine – are all out.

As MilanNews reports, that basically makes Pioli’s mind up for the defence as Calabria, Kjaer, Gabbia and Theo Hernandez will be deployed.

Kessie and Bennacer are preparing to play the irthird consecutive match as a pairing, with Tonali still starting on the bench.

Samu Castillejo was replaced by Pioli at half-time during Milan-Bologna due to a muscle discomfort, but the Spaniard will return on the right side.

In place of the suspended Rebic, Alexis Saelemaekers is expected to start on the left, with Calhanoglu the playmaker behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic as it has been for the past few months now.

The probable Rossoneri formation is as follows…

Milan (4-2-3-1): G. Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Gabbia, Theo Hernandez; Kessie, Bennacer; Castillejo, Calhanoglu, Saelemaekers; Ibrahimovic.
