MN: Milan’s probable XI to face Shamrock Rovers – Pioli has his line-up all sorted

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will kick off their 2020-21 campaign on Thursday night as they face a potential banana skin in Shamrock Rovers.

The countdown has begun to Milan’s first competitive match of the new campaign as they travel to the Irish capital for a Europa League second qualifying round match.

Paolo Maldini has already admitted that he is worried, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic will return having missed the last two friendlies against Vicenza and Brescia.

Milan will be missing forwards Ante Rebic (banned) and Rafael Leao (injured) plus defenders Alessio Romagnoli, Mateo Musacchio and Andrea Conti.

According to the latest from MilanNews, Pioli already has in mind his starting line-up and has been testing it for some time now in training.

In training at Milanello on Tuesday, this was the XI that was tested by Pioli ahead of Thursday’s game…

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): G. Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Gabbia, Theo; Kessie, Bennacer; Castillejo, Calhanoglu, Saelemaekers; Ibrahimovic.
