MN: Milan’s targeted signings are already shining – more investments planned for January

By Isak Möller -

The summer signing have impressed a lot thus far. The work of Ivan Gazidis, Paolo Maldini, Ricky Massara and the whole scout area produced the first good results and this is certainly a reason for satisfaction in management.

As highlighted by MilanNews.it, the likes of Brahim Diaz and Diogo Dalot, who arrived on loan from Real Madrid and Manchester United, are already showing that they are strong reinforcements. Three goals for the Spaniard, a goal and an assist for the Portuguese.

Above all, though, it’s a demonstration that the transfer market carried out in the summer was done with intelligence and reasoning. Targeted purchases, without spending too much due to the global crisis, but taking the right elements.

This narrative also applies to Sandro Tonali and Jens Petter Hauge. The former is gaining pace and minutes, but his talent has already been shown in Serie A with Brescia and now he just needs to find that with the Rossoneri.

Hauge, meanwhile, scored in just his second appearance for the club (both off the bench) but then he was stopped by COVID. They are all purchases promoted by Milan’s ‘technical committee’, studied and carefully evaluated in the summer.

In January, Elliott have decided that they will invest again but, of course, without spending crazy money. The directors will have to be good at seizing the right opportunities, just like they did in the summer.
