Massimiliano Allegri has pretty much decided AC Milan’s starting eleven for the game against Lazio on Sunday evening, set to make one change.
Milan have a pretty big opportunity to further reduce the gap to Inter in the standings, following the win in the Derby della Madonnina last week. Indeed, after Inter’s 1-1 draw against Atalanta earlier today, a win tomorrow would put the Rossoneri within five points of their rivals.
For Allegri and his men, a win is thus a must tomorrow if they want to prove themselves as a team, even if a key player in Adrien Rabiot will be missing (due to suspension). The Frenchman’s absence is also the only reason why the starting eleven will change.
One change, as expected
As reported by various sources throughout the day, and now confirmed by MilanNews, Allegri is expected to replace Rabiot with Ardon Jashari. The Swiss international hasn’t been given much playing time lately but given his price tag and potential, now feels like the right time.
The rest of the eleven will be exactly the same as we saw in the derby, meaning Pervis Estupinan will get the chance again. It’s a decision that definitely makes sense as Allegri has made it a thing to rely on the players in form this season.
Predicted Milan XI (3-5-2): Maignan; Tomori, De Winter, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Fofana, Modric, Jashari, Estupinan; Pulisic, Leao.
Predicted bench: Terracciano, Pittarella, Athekame, Odogu, Bartesaghi, Ricci, Nkunku, Füllkrug.

I’ll love to see Bartesaghi, instead of Estupinan. Not so comfortable with the latter’s defending. Also, considering how Lazio plays, Ricci would be a better option than Jashari, except we just want to keep more possession of the ball. He’ll be more useful in attack than Jashari.
