Good news has arrived from Milanello this lunchtime regarding Alvaro Morata, who has now fully recovered from his muscle problem.
Morata has missed the past couple of games due to a problem that he picked up just before the season opener against Torino and that he made worse during a substitute appearance – one that he marked with a goal – during that 2-2 draw.
As MilanNews report, there is excellent news from training today regarding Morata as he returned to training with the rest of the squad, having done individual work in the past few days.
The Spanish striker is therefore heading towards a call-up for Saturday’s match at San Siro against Venezia, though it remains to be seen whether he will start or play a portion of the game off the bench, with the latter more likely.
The 31-year-old will not be rushed, especially because Milan will face Liverpool in the first matchday of the league phase of the new Champions League on Tuesday 17 September at 21:00, a game where his goals and experience will be very useful.
Thankfully the arrival and immediate impact of Tammy Abraham mean that Fonseca can manage things a bit more peacefully, rather than having to rely on Luka Jovic or Noah Okafor.
