MN: New meeting between Milan and PSV as two sides close in on defender deal

By Oliver Fisher -

A meeting between AC Milan and PSV emissaries was held on Wednesday afternoon to try and thrash out a deal for Ricardo Rodriguez.

The full-back is looking for a new club this month having lost his spot in the starting XI to Theo Hernandez, with the Swiss international wanting to play a big part for his country at this year’s upcoming European Championships.

Just as it appeared that Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven had sunk the decisive blow on Tuesday night after meeting with Milan, numerous reports emerged claiming Fenerbahce have not given up on their pursuit.

Anto Vitiello of MilanNews.it reported that Rodriguez’s agent Gianluca Di Domenico presented an offer from Fenerbahce on Wednesday, with better personal terms for his client.

Nonetheless he has now offered an update stating that PSV were at Casa Milan once again to try and close a deal, and they may have succeeded.

Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo has confirmed on Twitter that PSV have now offered better terms than what Fenerbahce have after fresh talks. It seems the former Wolfsburg man’s future will soon be decided.
