MN: New meeting set over Calhanoglu renewal – the figure where a deal could be struck

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli has a selection headache in view of Wednesday’s game against Juventus, while the management have a negotiation headache.

As MilanNews reports, Franck Kessie and Rade Krunic should be the double pivot in midfielder for the visit of Juve after Sandro Tonali’s red card because Hakan Calhanoglu is too important in the trio behind Rafael Leao.

The Turkey international will be the protagonist both on and off the pitch over the coming days, given that after January 7 a new summit is expected at Casa Milan between Maldini, Massara and Gordon Stipic, the agent of the No.10.

The parties could find an agreement for his renewal at a figure of €4million net for the next four or five years, therefore a deal until 2025 or 2026. This is also because Calhanoglu – for the first time in years – is fighting for a target as serious as a return to the Champions League.
