MN: Origi does not wish to leave Milan but is still training separately

By Euan Burns -

Divock Origi is not very interested in leaving AC Milan this summer but he is still training separately given he is on the transfer list, a report claims.

As has been reported by Milan News, the Belgian striker has little desire to pursue a move away from the club despite it being made abundantly clear that he is not a part of Stefano Pioli’s plans.

He was not taken to the United States of America to face teams such as Barcelona, Juventus and Real Madrid, and he has been training separately from the rest of the squad given he is expected to leave.

Despite that, he still seems happy to stay. The work is ongoing by Milan to find a buyer for the Belgian and there is hope that West Ham will make a bid now that Gianluca Scamacca has left the club and been announced by Atalanta as a new striker.

    1. I don’t understand how all our players don’t want to go to Saudi Arabia but then loads of players in other teams will go as soon as they see the salary offer

  1. The guy is in the best place there is. The money is good, the food is the best, you don’t have to wander in the desert… Why would you leave? I can understand him.

  2. Strong arm tactics don’t always work. I think it was a wrong move by management. Remember, Real Madrid couldn’t get rid of Gareth Bale.

Perhaps Origi may have scored some goals in the US and some suitors would have emerged. But without a preseason and seeing him in action, they are skeptical.

The guy has not shown an inkling of being a negative influence in the locker room, I still wonder why he wasn’t taken and yet CdK, Adli and Messias – three players that Pioli has no intention of keeping went.

  3. He might be a dud for us thus far, but if he’s keen to fight for his place or for whatever reason prefers to stay – as a fan, it is our duty to support him, not chastisise him even further. If the management thinks he’s of no use at all and can’t be sold; there’ll be negotiations on how to terminate his contracts early, with some compensation.

It’s just annoying to me seeing how fans usually tend to wanna get rid players they didn’t think worthy and when the said player wishes to stay put and fight for his place, he’s getting more abuse. However, if there’s a transfer target who made a ruckus to their current club just to force themselves to join us, the fans would be quick to praise on how strong his conviction is and how their current club should’ve listened to the will of the players etc.

    Bit ironic.
