MN: Origi continues recovery program at Milanello – when Pioli wants him back

Divock Origi is currently recovering from a muscle injury and his AC Milan debut has thus been delayed quite a bit. The Belgian striker is eager to make it back for one specific game, as a report highlights.

Origi joined on a free transfer from Liverpool earlier this summer and his injury was already known to the Rossoneri management. Although Zlatan Ibrahimovic also is injured, it’s not a huge crisis for Milan as Olivier Giroud is seemingly in great form.

According to MilanNews, Origi is currently working as per his recovery program at Milanello. His goal is to be available for the first game of the season, scheduled for August 13 against Udinese at San Siro.

Stefano Pioli would like to have him back by then in order to guarantee some depth up front. Of course, he could always replace Giroud with Ante Rebic, who also has started the pre-season in the best way possible.

  1. Can we please explore the possibility of getting Belotti because we are in the same position we were in last season and this season hasn’t even started.

  3. Belotti would be a great signing. Hes free, not asking for much wages, a Milan fan, and what sets him apart from me is that he is a proven Serie A goal scorer.
