MN: Permanent signing of Torino midfielder ‘in doubt’ as Milan are unconvinced

It is not yet certain whether AC Milan will make Soualiho Meite’s loan move from Torino a permanent deal, according to a report.

Meite’s target has been clear since the day he arrived on loan with an option to buy from Torino, and that is to show Milan that they should use that option, which is set at around €9m based on most major sources.

He struggled in his initial chances as he arrived and was thrust into action in a team that has very specific mechanisms in midfield, with the Frenchman still struggling to find consistency in his performances as he continues to adapt.

According to MilanNews however, the 26-year-old might not have much time on his hands to show his ability. The report claims that while Fikayo Tomori of Chelsea is increasingly likely to stay, the ransom of Mieté is in doubt.

The chances of Diogo Dalot and Brahim Diaz remaining and signing on permanent deals from Manchester United and Real Madrid respectively are also slim, the report mentions.
