MN: Pioli becomes a grandfather the morning after victory over PSG

AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli has become a grandfather the morning after he guided his team to a 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

As has been reported by Milan News, the coach left training at Milanello immediately after the end of the morning session on Wednesday so that he could go and be with his family.

His granddaughter was born at some point on Wednesday morning.

Milan won the game on Tuesday night thanks to goals from Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud in either half, after former Inter defender Milan Skriniar had opened the scoring for PSG in the early stages.

An immense amount of pressure will have been lifted off of Pioli’s shoulders given Milan were in such a poor run of form and a defeat would have made it almost impossible for his side to get into the last 16 of the Champions League, something the club are desperate to do.
