MN: Pioli considering leaving Milan too after news of Maldini’s sacking

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is among the people considering leaving his position amid the news that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have reportedly been sacked.

According to what MilanNews are reporting, after the farewell of Maldini and Massara, Pioli’s position does not seem to be at risk on the part of the ownership who appreciate the work he has done since his arrival.

However, the coach is still reflecting on whether to continue his adventure with Milan or whether to leave his position, given that he will be losing two figures very close to him.

It is worth remembering that it was Maldini who appointed Pioli back in the 2019-20 season after Marco Giampaolo’s sacking, and he also fought his corner very hard when it looked like Elliott Management had made the decision to appoint Ralf Rangnick.

The ‘Rangnick Revolution’ never came thanks to Maldini’s insistence that Pioli is the right man, but now he has seemingly been sacked Pioli must feel quite confused.

  1. I’ll be more worried in Mondada leaves. If players start to ask for a transfer then the s*** really hits the fan.

    1. “If players start to ask for a transfer then the s*** really hits the fan”

What you have said; is 100% right! But a person, here is too naive to realise that! I am not going, to mention his name..

      1. @Poli that’s his name, I will help you call him out because it seems that guy doesn’t know the weight of the damage Cardinale has done.

For goodness sake we are gonna loose important players that has helped build this team.
I’m heartbroken because this team is now divided, the fans are divided, Milan is gonna start from scratch again.

Maldini sacking is a very bad one for important fans to take and I can’t count @Poli as one of the important one because he’s dumb and knows nothing.

Maldini is the PILLAR of Milan everything will soon fall apart but I hope it doesn’t.

        1. I pray that you are dead wrong here but… I tend to agree with you. This will end in a disaster. I bet Theo is the first one to request a transfer and the others will follow.

  2. Pioli is the only one who gel the squad after Maldini. Next the player would question their future. I hope the president woke up before it’s too late.

  3. Honestly never liked Pioli but if he leaves now because of this he has all my respect.
Maldini getting sacked by a bad owner is nothing short of a collapse and I expect a lot of players and staff will leave soon too.
Dark days are ahead for Milan

  4. At least Cardinale waited for Leao to renew first. Or is there a 14 day cooling off period for Leao to change his mind.
Maldini did look a bit peeved during Ibrahimovic farewell, I think he knew of this earlier than stated.

    1. Yup ‘well-played’ on the Leao renewal. With almost all the big clubs in Europe chase him, of course he’d feel tricked. And that’s far from a good start. This kind of external factor will affect player’s mentality, moreover for the younger ones.

  5. I understand if Pioli feel lost. Zlatan and Maldini was there to help him manage the team, now with the legends leave, his burden increase.

    1. Yes it’ll be a different Pioli without Zlatan and moreover Paolo. It’s better for him to leave and salvage what’s left from his reputation.

  6. Well seems like another banter era is in the horizon last we had owners that did new how to spend money the right way now we have a owner that kicks out one of the biggest lengends of football and the club and is to stingy to give more then 50 millions to spend in the transfer market even with the amazing results we had in 3 years were a number of other teams have spend rivers of money trying to get the same results we had in Champions League where we did not play for 10 years and on the second year after we returned got to the semi-final of the Champions League. Now my hope is that he gets bored of our beloved club AC Milan and sells the club to someone with more then one brain cell or to someone that loves the club!

  7. How many historical MILAN fans are ready to put anything from 1 € to 1,000 € / more each month to set up a fund of around the 1Bn for a social cooperative of the “MILANISTI” with players, coaches, managers, fans, and investors to create a new GRANDE MILAN?
