MN: Pioli must decide between Diaz and Kessie for Milan’s clash against Empoli

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are flying high after their win at Napoli last weekend and they will be looking to build on that this Saturday, taking on Empoli. Stefano Pioli still has a few doubts with regards to the XI, a report claims.

Theo Hernandez will be serving a one-game ban and that has obviously forced Pioli to ponder his options. Alessandro Florenzi seems to be ahead of Fode Ballo-Toure for now, but that isn’t the only battle within the team.

According to Pietro Mazzara of MilanNews, the manager has to decide between Brahim Diaz and Franck Kessie for the No.10 role. He could opt for the former and thus give Sandro Tonali some rest, moving the Ivorian back into midfield. But making the same decision as last time out shouldn’t be excluded.

Obviously, it’s a big game for the Rossoneri as despite having done well against the top sides, they still need to prove themselves against the smaller ones. Three points on Saturday could prove to be very decisive in the Scudetto race as well.
