AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has decided to give the team a day off today to allow them to recover after Saturday’s friendly, a report claims.
According to the latest from MilanNews, there will be no training session at Milanello today as Pioli has has granted a day of rest to his players after the friendly victory against the Greek side in Trieste . The team had a post-match session yesterday but will enjoy some rest today, returning tomorrow to begin preparing for the first game of the season against Sampdoria in exactly one week.
Milan have ended their preseason game with three wins (against Pro Sesto, Modena and Panathinaikos), two draws (against Real Madrid and OGC Nice) and a penalty shootout defeat against Valencia.
The main headline so far has been the fact that Olivier Giroud appears to be in good form, with three goals scored including a brace on Saturday.
