MN: Pioli has reflected on his position as Milan head coach but will not resign

Stefano Pioli will not resign from his position and will continue to be the head coach of AC Milan into the 2023-24 season, according to a report.

It was reported this morning by MilanNews that while Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have been sacked as the technical and sporting directors. Pioli’s position does not seem to be at risk on the part of the ownership.

Gerry Cardinale and RedBird Capital appreciate the work he has done since his arrival, but the coach was reflecting on whether to keep going at Milan or whether to leave his position, given that he will be losing two figures very close to him.

According to the latest update from the same source however, Pioli will remain as the Milan boss. He had a few hours of reflection given the chaos happening around him, but in the end he decided not to resign and to continue with his work.

  1. Well that was one quick reflection but hey he knowns that after he leaves Milan is gonna be trainig some mid table or bottom team nice way of showing apreciation for the one that got him the job as Milan coach and did every thing for him Pioli to not lose is job to Ragnick!

    1. Exactly. But I highly doubt Pioli is enough to keep the morale up. If even one of the key players hand over a transfer request, the whole thing falls apart quicker than we can say F*CK Cardinale!

      1. Even when Maldini leaves, he will still want the players to stay as they are his legacy, so I guess Maldini will talk them to stay.

  2. LOLOLOLO – shocking! Lol. He’s a company man. Low salary and doesn’t complain about ownership not spending $$$. Of course he’s staying lol
