MN: Pioli keeping an eye on the market while on vacation – his clear requests to the management

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli can sit back and enjoy a summer vacation while keeping an eye on the mercato and plans for next season.

MilanNews writes how Pioli has been one of the main architects of Milan’s return to the Champions League and is enjoying his well-deserved holidays in Forte dei Marmi, but with his mobile phone always close by. He knows that the market is long but he speaks daily with directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara.

The report adds how – like the fans – he confidently awaits the management’s moves to strengthen the squad because being back in the Champions League means improving the quality of the players is imperative to make the team even more competitive.

His request to Maldini and Massara is this: he wants a team that has at least two players per position, and one where rotation does not lower the level of competitiveness of the starting eleven. It is a request as basic as it is clear, because to compete on three fronts fresh faces are needed.
