MN: Pioli could consider starting Rebic against Inter – how it could benefit Milan

There is just over a week left until the long-awaited Derby Della Madonnina between AC Milan and Inter. Both teams are fighting for the Scudetto and it should make for a great game, with a lot at stake.

As things stand, Stefano Pioli will be able to rely on a strong XI and that hasn’t always been the case this season. The only question mark is the defence, as Fikayo Tomori might not make it back in time (meaning Pierre Kalulu would start).

Other than that, though, it must be said that the manager has a lot of options. He will have to decide the partner for Sandro Tonali in midfielder (Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie) and there are also some decisions to be made in the attacking trio.

Up front, as highlighted by MilanNews, Pioli could consider playing Ante Rebic from the first minute. It will depend on the condition of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but the Croatian would offer more pressing in the defensive phase and also more runs in behind the defence.

If Pioli wants a more mobile striker for his tactics, then Rebic is the man for the job.
