The selection issues that AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli has to contend with is likely to give opportunities to three young players, a report claims.
Milan will leave for Sardinia without the suspended Rafael Leao, the injured duo of Matteo Gabbia and Ismael Bennacer, plus the COVID-positive quartet of Rade Krunic, Ante Rebic, Hakan Calhanoglu and Theo Hernandez.
According to MilanNews, given the many absences there will be during tomorrow night’s match against Cagliari, coach Pioli will bring several players from the Primavera on the trip to start on the bench.
Enrico Di Gesù will be one of them, as he received his first call-up during the midweek cup win over Torino. He is a technical and dynamic 18-year-old midfielder.
Nikolaos Michelis is the second name, a towering centre-back who stands at 1.92m and was signed from Greek side Asteras Tripoli. Finally there is Emil Roback, the forward who arrived from Hammarby this summer.
You can read about the first two players here, while we also did a profile on Roback back in October which you can read here.
