MN: Probable Milan XI for Dortmund clash – Giroud back but Leao still out

After last night’s win against Fiorentina at San Siro, Borussia Dortmund are the next visitors on Tuesday evening for a game that is crucial in securing qualification to the round of 16 in the Champions League.

MilanNews report that Marco Sportiello, Pierre Kalulu, Noah Okafor and unfortunately Rafael Leao will certainly not recover for the game against Dortmund in midweek. However, Simon Kjaer could return after missing the recent period due to a muscle issue.

Furthermore, there will be no Yunus Musah or Francesco Camarda. The former is disqualified, while the latter – not having turned 16 yet – is not yet technically eligible. Jan-Carlo Simic does not meet the requirements to be included in List B so he won’t be called up either.

The starting eleven line-up should therefore be Davide Calabria, Malick Thiaw, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez in front of Mike Maignan, with Tijjani Reijnders, Rade Krunic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek in midfield then Samuel Chukwueze, Olivier Giroud and Christian Pulisic should be the front three.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo; Krunic, Reijnders; Chukweuze, Loftus-Cheek, Pulisic; Giroud.

Bench: Mirante, Nava, Florenzi, Bartesaghi, Adli, Pobega, Chaka Traore, Jovic.
