AC Milan will play their third home game in eight days on Saturday night when they take on Frosinone at San Siro hoping to recover from the midweek loss to Borussia Dortmund.
Malick Thiaw has also been added to the already very long list of unavailable players, and he will remain out for at least a couple of months with only Fikayo Tomori still standing as a fit central defender.
Rafael Leao is not expected to recover, nor are Simon Kjaer or Noah Okafor, while there are hopes of seeing Ismael Bennacer again who should at the very least be named in the squad after a six-month absence.
According to MilanNews, the selection choices that Pioli will have to make are more obligatory than ever. In defence Jan-Carlo Simic should make his first Serie A start alongside Tomori, with Theo Hernandez and Davide Calabria as full-backs and Mike Maignan in goal.
The midfield has the most question marks, but Pioli should go with the Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Tijjani Reijnders and Yunus Musah trio which worked well against Paris Saint-Germain.
In attack, as in defense, it is impossible to choose differently than Samuel Chukwueze on the right, Christian Pulisic on the left and Luka Jovic down the midfield given Olivier Giroud’s ban.
Probable Milan XI (4-3-3): Maignan; Calabria, Simic, Tomori, Theo; Loftus-Cheek, Reijnders, Musah; Chukweuze, Jovic, Pulisic.
Bench: Mirante, Nava , Florenzi, Bartesaghi, Krunic, Pobega, Adli, Chaka Traore, Romero, Jovic, Camarda.
Yellow card from suspension: Krunic
Injured: Sportiello, Kalulu, Kjaer, Thiaw, Pellegrino, Caldara, Leao, Okafor.
Suspended: Giroud.

If this is the formation he will be going with then he must be a stupid Manager, must Tijjani legs break before he rest him to recover fully.
This coach is nothing but a bastard complete bastard we don’t know how to play 4-3-3 this coach should stop making us sad even Pioli don’t know how to play 4-3-3 and this same 4-3-3 has sent most of our players to injury
Mr Pioli Abi Stefano Pioli go and rubbish this 4-3-3 use Romero in the attacking midfield now we strongly need Romero
M.maignan
Calabria,simic,tomori, Hernandez
Musah, rejnder
Chukwueze, Romero, pulisic
Geroud
Pioli is time for you to prove that your a coach in this situation
Calabria must be second centre back and Florenzi on right back. Simic should enter if Milan manage to to lead at least 2 goal of difference…
A 3 foot tall CB? No way, this is Frosinine; we should be rolling these dudes over. Simic all the way for me. Maybe get the young Spanish fella on as deputy RB and leave Florenzi at home, while we are at it… Bartheshagi should replace Theo at half time to give him a break, assuming we are up a couple of goals
Calabria as a CB is far worse than Krunic as a CB. First of all, it’s a completely different story to play on the wing than central and then there’s the size issue. Calabria would lose 100/100 high balls. He always forgets/loses an opponent behind him when playing wide. Imagine him doing that in the center…
Giroud is out, 2 game red card suspension
Didn’t know we had also signed Jovic’s brother!
Bertehagahi is a good defender
Try Adli higher up on the field for f$%^&’ssake.
