MN: Probable Milan XI for PSG clash – Musah to play a deeper role

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli appears to have ironed out the final doubts about his team selection ahead of tomorrow night’s game against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

PSG will visit San Siro for a rematch after the 3-0 in Paris last month, and Milan need a win with only two points on the board after three matches and zero goals scored, meaning qualification hopes hang by a thread.

MilanNews reports that Christian Pulisic and Samuel Chukwueze are back after injury and the USA winger will join Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao in the attacking trident.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek will also return to the starting line-up after his appearance off the bench against Udinese. Tijjani Reijnders should be the other mezzala, with Yunus Musah at the base of the three.

In defence, given the injuries, the choices are forced: Theo Hernandez returns at left-back with Davide Calabria on the other side, and a centre-back pairing of Fikayo Tomori and Malick Thiaw ahead of Mike Maignan.

Probable Milan XI (4-3-3): Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Loftus-Cheek, Musah, Reijnders; Pulisic, Giroud, Rafa Leao.

Bench: Mirante, Nava, Florenzi, Bartesaghi, Krunic, Adli, Pobega, Chukwueze, Okafor, Jovic.

Unavailable: Sportiello, Kalulu, Pellegrino, Caldara, Bennacer, Kjaer, Romero (not UEFA squad listed).

Suspended: None.

Suspended with a booking: Musah.
