MN: Probable Milan XI to face Roma – Pioli retains faith in same group

Stefano Pioli is expected to change very little for the game against AS Roma after his AC Milan side started the season with two wins from two.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, Pioli will continue to rely on the starting XI that he used for the high-profile preseason friendlies and for the opening two games against Bologna and Torino.

Mike Maignan will be in goal with Davide Calabria, Malick Thiaw, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez as the back four. Rade Krunic should be at the base of the midfield, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tijjani Reijnders either side.

Christian Pulisic is expected to keep his spot on the right flank, with Rafael Leao on the opposite wing and Olivier Giroud up front.

There are actually no selection doubts, meaning Pierre Kalulu, Samuel Chukwueze, Yunus Musah, Marco Pellegrino and Noah Okafor will be among the new additions to start on the bench.

Probable Milan XI (4-3-3): Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Loftus-Cheek, Krunic, Reijnders; Pulisic, Giroud, Rafa Leao.

Bench: Sportiello, Mirante, Florenzi, Calabria, Kjaer, Pellegrino, Simic, Adli, Pobega, Zeroli, Musah, Chukwueze, Okafor, Luka Romero, Saelemaekers, Colombo, Chaka Traore.
