MN: Probable Milan XI to face Spezia – Pioli reverts to recent league starters

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan managed to beat Genoa by three goals to nil mid-week, advancing to the next round of the Coppa Italia, but the same XI won’t get the chance tomorrow. In fact, six changes are expected from Stefano Pioli.

The Rossoneri will face Spezia at home tomorrow evening, with kick-off scheduled for 18:30, and the manager will revert back to the usual league starters. That is, the players that have started recently in the league.

Matteo Gabbia and Pierre Kalulu will be the centre-back pairing once again as Fikayo Tomori got injured against Genoa. In midfield, though, the suspended Sandro Tonali will be replaced by Tiemoue Bakayoko alongside Rade Krunic.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic served a suspension against Genoa and is now fully rested for the game tomorrow, in which he will start. In fact, the whole attack will be different from the mid-week clash. This was reported this evening by MilanNews.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Florenzi, Kalulu, Gabbia, Hernandez; Bakayoko, Krunic; Saelemaekers, Diaz, Leao; Ibrahimovic.
