MN: Probable Milan XI to face Atalanta – Important duo back from start

By Isak Möller -

Following the comfortable 2-0 win against Cagliari on Monday evening, Milan are now gearing up to take on Atalanta at San Siro. They only need one point to be crowned winter champions, but getting three points is the goal.

Unlike in recent weeks, when the Rossoneri have been given bad news after bad news, they have something to be happy about this time. Theo Hernandez, Rade Krunic and Ante Rebic have all recovered from COVID and will be available.

In addition, Rafael Leao has served his one-game suspension and will thus be back as well. According to MilanNews.it, the Portuguese will start on the left-wing, while Hernandez will return to his left-back position.

There will only be two changes from the Cagliari win, in other words, but two changes that could make a big difference. Jens Petter Hauge hasn’t impressed as of late and it’s hard to outperform Hernandez on the left-hand side.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Kalulu, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Kessie; Castillejo, Diaz, Leao; Ibrahimovic.
