MN: Probable Milan XI to face Atalanta – Pioli has decided the midfield tandem

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will face Atalanta in the seventh round of Serie A tomorrow evening and Stefano Pioli seems to have an XI in mind for the game. There will be some changes compared to the game against Atletico Madrid.

Simon Kjaer wasn’t included in the squad for the Atletico clash but will make his return now, having missed the games against Venezia and Spezia as well. He will partner up with Fikayo Tomori in the heart of the defence.

As reported by MilanNews, Pioli has made up his mind regarding the midfield tandem, which has been a hot topic all season. After the red card mid-week, Franck Kessie has been demoted to the bench as Sandro Tonali and Ismael Bennacer will start.

Both Bennacer and Tonali have started this season very well so the decision certainly makes sense. Further up the pitch, Ante Rebic will start as the centre-forward yet again as Olivier Giroud still isn’t 100%.
