MN: Probable Milan XI to face Atletico Madrid – Pioli finally solves dilemmas

After a lot of deliberation and speculation, it appears that the team AC Milan will field against Atletico Madrid tonight has been selected.

As MilanNews reports, Simon Kjaer has not even been called up for tonight’s match against Atletico for precautionary reasons, so Mike Maignan will be protected by a back four of Davide Calabria, Fikayo Tomori, Alessio Romagnoli and Theo Hernandez.

Up until yesterday Sandro Tonali was expected to be in the double pivot, but the 21-year-old will start the game on the bench as Ismael Bennacer returns to the line-up, with Franck Kessie as his partner.

Alexis Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao will be the attacking trident from right to left wing as Alessandro Florenzi will begin on the bench, having recovered from the blow to the left knee he suffered during the Venezia game.

Ante Rebic will act as the striker, with Olivier Giroud starting on the bench as he is still not 100% and Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still recovering.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Romagnoli, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Bennacer, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Diaz, Leao; Rebic.
