MN: Probable Milan XI to face Lazio – choices made in defence, midfield and attack

By Oliver Fisher -

Amid rumours of selection dilemmas throughout the eve of AC Milan’s game against Lazio, it seems Stefano Pioli has finally settled on his line-up for the Coppa Italia quarter-final.

MilanNews reports that Ante Rebic will recover and start the game on the bench ready to take over, while Fikayo Tomori is also likely to come off the subs bench too having recovered from the meniscus surgery he underwent thirty days ago.

Mike Maignan will be in goal with Davide Calabria expected to play over Alessandro Florenzi at right-back. Pierre Kalulu and captain Alessio Romagnoli will be in the centre, with Theo Hernandez at left-back to complete the department.

Franck Kessie will return to the double pivot and alongside him Sandro Tonali is expected to start ahead of Ismael Bennacer. In attack Olivier Giroud should be the striker supported by a trident of Junior Messias on the right, Rafael Leao on the left and Brahim Diaz as the No.10.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kalulu, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Kessie; Messias, Diaz, Leao; Giroud.
