MN: Probable Milan XI to face Torino – Ibra’s replacement chosen as duo remain ‘untouchable’

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have had little time to celebrate the 3-0 win at the Allianz Stadium against Juventus on Sunday as tomorrow evening they are back in the same city to face Torino.

As MilanNews writes, Pioli will be without the injured Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the suspended Alexis Saelemaekers, meaning he has some choices to make regarding his starting XI. They add that it will be Ante Rebic who will take the place of Ibrahimovic just like he did during the Juve game.

Behind him there will almost certainly be Hakan Calhanoglu and Samu Castillejo, with Brahim Diaz ahead of Rafael Leao to be the playmaker at the moment. The most tested formation in training today saw Diaz behind the striker, with Calhanoglu on the left, but if Leao were to play he would be on the flank and the Turk would be down the middle.

Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer are ‘untouchable’ in midfield but Pioli will have Tonali, Meite and Krunic to call upon off the bench. As for the rearguard, Gianluigi Donnarumma will be between the posts with Davide Calabria, Simon Kjaer, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez the defence from right to left.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): G. Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Bennacer, Kessie; Castillejo, Diaz, Calhanoglu; Rebic.
