MN: Raiola’s summit with AC Milan – Ibrahimovic situation and other names discussed

By Oliver Fisher -

Some more information about Wednesday’s summit between the AC Milan management and agent Mino Raiola have been revealed by MilanNews.it.

We reported via our mercato expert Vito Angele that Paolo Maldini and Zvonomir Boban are determined to sign some experience in the January window, and not long after some big news broke.

Sky Italia (via MilanNews.it) reported that there was a meeting between Raiola and the Milan leadership to discuss Ibrahimovic, and there has now been an update.

MilanNews claims that the main focus of the meeting was Ibrahimovic and that Milan directors Zvonomir Boban, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara aimed to understand whether the idea of his return is feasible or not.

The economic demands made by Zlatan, at the moment, are high and there is currently a distance between what he is asking for an what the Rossoneri are willing to pay.

However, the Swede was not the only topic of discussion as the report adds that it is likely Giacomo Bonaventura’s future was discussed, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Suso and Alessio Romagnoli are set to formalise Raiola as their new representative (as per Calciomercato.com) so their futures will likely have been discussed, but a renewal for Gianluigi Donnarumma was not talked about.

In the coming weeks there will be new contacts between the parties to try to make Ibra’s return to Milan a reality, the report adds, and while he is ‘not the only striker on Milan’s list, he is almost certainly the first name’.
