MN: RB Leipzig, Chelsea and Real Madrid trio on Milan’s shortlist for the No.10 role – the names

By Oliver Fisher -

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have turned their efforts towards replacing Hakan Calhanoglu and an interesting list of targets has emerged, a report claims.

MilanNews writes how Calhanoglu’s move to Inter on a free transfer has created another hole in Stefano Pioli’s squad which must be filled. Pending the resolution of the negotiations for the return of Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid, the Rossoneri now find themselves needing to fill an important gap, namely that of the starting attacking midfielder.

The report adds that many names are being examined by Maldini and Massara, who currently seem to be in no hurry to make a decision on who will take up the No.10 role but rather will be the right choice after consideration.

The first names of the followed profiles begin to emerge, with Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos, Marcel Sabitzer of RB Leipzig and Hakim Ziyech of Chelsea mentioned by the reliable outlet.

  1. From what I’ve read, I don’t think Ceballos wants to come to Milan. I doubt we can afford Sabitzer. So our only hope is Chelsea giving us Ziyech on a loan with an option to buy. But I doubt they are willing to do that, since they want to buy Haaland and Hakimi and like 50 other players

    1. Sabitzer would be nice indeed – we need someone that can flow freely with the ball at his feet in that 3rd quarter area of the pitch and can also swing some nice freekicks -, but as you’ve said it…I doubt we can spend more than 10-15mil for our starting AM
so for now, we’re just drooling over sweet candy with our arses stuck in the mud
