MN: ‘Reduced distance’ – Milan in ‘continuous contact’ with Spurs over Emerson deal

AC Milan have re-lit the spark as they attempt to sign Emerson Royal this summer, and a report has suggested that they are slowly closing the gap between themselves and Tottenham Hotspur.

It has been a difficult summer for Milan so far, and the fans have voiced their concern about the lack of movement being made by the Rossoneri, but things could speed up over the next few weeks as the season approaches.

Whilst two players have arrived through the door, there is a demand that more arrive with several areas to be improved before the season starts, and the Diavolo are aiming to do that, as a report this morning suggested.

One of the players in question was Emerson Royal, who Milan have held an interest in for most of the summer. However, the pursuit of the right-back was placed on hold after negotiations broke down last month.

Nevertheless, talks have re-opened, and the Rossoneri are gradually closing on Tottenham’s asking price. According to reports from Milan News, talks have ‘intensified’ after Alessandro Florenzi’s injury, and the contacts are ‘continuous’.

It is believed the operation will cost in the region of €15-17 million, and with a ‘reduced’ distance to close, the deal is very close.
