MN: Roma make first contacts with Milan over move for winger; player keen on move

By Oliver Fisher -

Roma have made the first contacts with AC Milan over a move for winger Suso in the January transfer window, it is claimed.

The Giallorossi are in the market for a new wide man this month given that Nicolò Zaniolo is out for the season with a cruciate ligament injury which needs surgery.

Calciomercato.com meanwhile reported Milan are preparing for the sale of Suso, and that the Spaniard is expected at Casa Milan on Monday to negotiate his exit with interest from England and Spain as well as Roma.

According to MilanNews.it journalist Anto Vitiello, Roma have contacted Milan over a potential move for the 26-year-old, who he confirms is viewed as a potential replacement for the injured Zaniolo.

Vitiello confirms though that for the moment it is only an ‘idea’ and that there are other players being considered as well, while the report on MilanNews claims Suso is interested in the idea of a move to the capital.

Meanwhile, Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that Roma and Milan could do battle to land Inter winger Matteo Politano, valued at €20-25m.
