MN: Seven positions Milan want to reinforce ahead of next season – their targets

By Isak Möller -

The transfer window has already started for Milan, with the signing of Mike Maignan from Lille, and it’s indeed just the beginning. We can expect to see a summer with a lot of activity, with several reinforcements eyed.

According to MilanNews, there are many positions that the Rossoneri want to strengthen this summer. Starting at the back, Fikayo Tomori will be redeemed from Chelsea (for €28m) and two full-backs will also be needed as backups in the squad.

Further up the pitch, if Soualiho Meite isn’t redeemed, then Milan will have to sign another midfielder in addition to the redemption of Sandro Tonali. As for the attack, there could be a good amount of movement for the Rossoneri.

With Mario Mandzukic’s departure, they want to sign an experienced striker and a young one. The hot name for the former role is Olivier Giroud as his contract with Chelsea will expire at the end of June.

Meanwhile, Hakan Calhanoglu’s renewal is in great doubt and it seems he will join Gigio Donnarumma leave the club this summer as well. In addition to the confirmation of Brahim Diaz, therefore, another attacking midfielder will be needed.

On the right flank, with Samu Castillejo destined to be sold, Milan will be looking for a strong winger: a prolific one. They need goals and assists from that position, which they lacked this past season.
