MN: Starting XI for Udinese – Kessie, Paqueta battle; Castillejo and Borini in

By Oliver Fisher -

It is between Lucas Paqueta and Franck Kessie for the final spot in Marco Giampaolo’s XI for the game against Udinese, a report claims.

It is believed that Giampaolo had his starting team all ready for Sunday’s trip to the Stadio Friuli, which is Milan’s opening game of the 2019-20 season.

That was the case however until it was revealed that Biglia will likely miss the trip to the Stadio Friuli on Sunday evening with an adductor muscle injury.

This has caused a number of changes to Giampaolo’s planned side, and reports have claimed that Hakan Calhanoglu will shift across from LCM to play regista, leaving another gap to be filled.

As per MilanNews.it, it is between Paqueta and Kessie for the position as mezz’ala on the left side.

At the moment, the Brazil international is considered ahead of his Ivorian team-mate as the former came back into the fold quicker after his Copa America participation.

Meanwhile, the pairing up front is set to be Samu Castillejo and Krzysztof Piatek with Suso in behind.

Fabio Borini will be the right-sided central midfielder while in front of Gigio Donnarumma there will be Davide Calabria, Mateo Musacchio, Alessio Romagnoli and Ricardo Rodriguez.
