Milan are looking for an experienced striker on the market as the condition of Zlatan Ibrahimovic is uncertain for the time being. Although he was never the first choice, it seems Edin Dzeko won’t be the signing.
According to reports from MilanNews, Roma manager Jose Mourinho wants to keep Dzeko for next season. The Bosnian striker is thus likely to see out his deal with the Giallorossi, which will expire in 2022, and then leave the club.
Milan and Juventus have both expressed their interest in the player recently, per the report, and could make an attempt if the situation changes. For now, however, Dzeko is destined to play yet another season in the capital of Italy.
Meanwhile, the Rossoneri’s first choice for the attack seems to be Olivier Giroud, who needs to free himself from Chelsea to join. More updates on this matter could arrive as early as in the next few weeks.
