MN: Rumours of swap between Milan and Celtic gather steam – ‘meeting possible’

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Celtic could return to the negotiating table very soon to discuss a potential swap deal involving two defenders, it is claimed.

Di Marzio recently reported that Laxalt’s loan move to Celtic could become a permanent one. The former Genoa man is playing regularly and the positive signs are continuing to arrive, so the two clubs could soon begin talks regarding his future.

Di Marzio added that Milan in the past few months have shown interest in defender Kristoffer Ajer who remains in their sights, suggesting he could also become part of the talks, and a report from PianetaMilan earlier today reaffirmed these rumours.

According to the latest from the reliable journalist Anto Vitiello of MilanNews, Celtic are ‘satisfied’ with the start to the season shown by Laxalt, who arrived on a dry loan from Milan in the summer.

“We are beginning to talk about a possible purchase by the Scots,” he adds. In addition though, he mentions that ‘AC Milan still like the defender Ajer’ talking of a ‘meeting possible’ between the two clubs.
