Igli Tare is just one step away from completing his move to AC Milan, set to become the new sporting director of the club. According to a report, he will have a modest salary.

It was reported on Friday afternoon that Tare has signed a three-year deal with the Rossoneri, which is something Gazzetta dello Sport also confirmed this morning. However, as highlighted by MilanNews, there are a couple of details to note about the contract.
First of all, it’s a two-year deal with an option for an additional year, thus making it three in total. He will earn €800k per year and according to the report, the last bureaucratic procedures have now been completed for Milan to register him as their official sporting director.
To compare the salary with Inter, their sporting director Piero Ausilio earns around €1m per year, while Napoli’s Giovanni Manna earns around €400k per year. Cristiano Giuntoli, who has a slightly bigger role at Juventus, earns €2.9m per year.
It’s difficult to compare with other clubs, though, as the structures are fundamentally very different. Tare will perhaps have a role which is more similar to Giuntoli and Inter CEO Beppe Marotta, as opposed to Ausilio and Manna. But that is something we will find out soon.
