AC Milan are keen on the idea of signing Krépin Diatta from Club Brugge this summer and may have an advantage over the competition.
That is according to MilanNews, who note how the Senegal winger’s agent has confirmed his client will most likely leave Brugge, looking for a new experience to take a further step in his career.
APS contacted the entourage of the player on Wednesday night, who confirmed that there is a great deal of interest in Diatta from across Europe, including from Milan, Watford and Hertha Berlin.
The MilanNews report claims that the Rossoneri could have an advantage for three reasons. The first is that the club can offer him a spot on the left wing where they have not had a winger capable of beating a man for some time, while the second is that they enjoy immensely superior appeal to the other two clubs in question.
Finally, the asking price of €20million could actually help Milan – it is a price tag the other two clubs will be reluctant to spend, but if Ralf Rangnick approves the move then it could be a bargain.
